Tours typically leave at 10 a.m. and return to Oaxaca City Center at 5:30 p.m.

Each tour can be customized before the trip or during the trip based on whatever you want to see.

Price depends on how many people and whether you provide a car, our guide takes his car, or we arrange a larger vehicle on your behalf for the group.

Prices below include gas and use of our 5-seater compact car. It does not include food or snacks.

A 25% non-refundable deposit is due at the time of the booking.

I’m in the Maguey Melate in house mezcal expert and I’ve been giving professional mezcal tours for 6 years

In 2012, I left my career in architecture and began giving educational mezcal tours full-time. Building relationships with mezcaleros and sampling the world’s best destilado de agave is my professional and personal passion, along with visiting Oaxacan markets, perfecting my grasshopper sauce recipe, cooking, and generally educating people on mezcal. My role in Maguey Melate is to bring the most authentic mezcaleros into our club, make sure each bottle of agave spirits is best in class, and advise on how to make each customer’s educational experience as complete and accurate as possible!
